Our stay at Zanzibar House was incredible value for money, with comfortable and clean rooms and a stunning beachfront location. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
The food for breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.

We had an amazing time at Zanzibar House Boutique. It felt like staying in a friend's luxurious family home, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The Italian hosts, Maxi and Milia, were exceptional and went out of their way to chat with us and assist us in any way possible. The beach location was beautiful, and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner right on the beach. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with intricate details that added to the overall charm. We also appreciated the gluten-free options available. we felt relaxed and well taken care of throughout our stay.

The hotel's decoration was simply charming, with its beautiful traditional furniture and colorful fabrics. The general areas were well-maintained and easy to navigate, perfect for senior people like me. I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility features, such as handrails in the hallways and ramps for easy access to different areas of the hotel.
I would have loved to see more activities catered specifically towards senior people.

Great place for exploring Matemwe. The garden is well-maintained. Our room had a terrace that allowed us to enjoy the ocean view...

The beach offered a good opportunity to sunbathe and you could relax far from the city noise. The restaurant provided a reasonable variety of food menu. The hotel had a small number of guests, which meant you could enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
The staff could have been more attentive to guests, both in the restaurant and the beach. the Internet service did not work properly, which made communication with the outside world difficult.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, Zanzibar House Boutique is the place to be. With an amazing beach, a chilled pool, and comfortable beach beds, you'll have plenty of opportunities to unwind. The friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure your comfort, and the food is delicious, especially the 4-course dinners. The property itself is beautiful, with secluded spots for privacy. The highlight, however, is the gracious hosts, Maximilian and Elena, who make you feel truly special.
Can recommend this hotel.

The general areas are beautifully maintained with colorful lounges and a well-maintained garden. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible, with easy navigation and plenty of seating areas to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
I would have appreciated better accessibility options for senior people, such as handrails in certain areas.

The room at Zanzibar House was incredibly spacious with a huge balcony overlooking the breathtaking white sandy beach and crystal clear water. The meals were a delightful mix of Italian and Swahili flavors, prepared with great care. The staff, particularly Nicolas and Nina, were attentive and friendly, catering to all our needs. The beachfront location and the warm hospitality of the locals made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The ocean view was absolutely amazing and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful and accommodating especially with arranging activities. It was great to have access to a private beach and pool.
The location was a bit remote which meant that prices for water and beer were higher than expected. the currency exchange rate was quite high which made things more expensive.

We had an incredible time at this hotel located right on the beach, with a stunning view of the reef. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the service was top-notch, and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed spending time at the beautiful pool area and taking advantage of the various facilities offered on-site.
We noticed that the lighting in some areas of the hotel could use a bit more attention to create a brighter ambiance.
